tarzan scene…
Another quick update today. Seeing as though my little young Tarzan belongs in trees, I decided to add him to a fairly quick tree scene. The tree model is from Big Buck Bunny and if you are planning on making some trees I highly recommend studying these models. I believe that they were made using the “Trees from Curves” python script, which I’ve only played with a little bit. It all seems fairly easy to use and is really helpful if you want to make an entire tree model with leaves, branches, textures, etc.
As my last post hinted at, I’m tossing around the idea of creating an animated short. I think that I have enough knowledge of Blender to take this on and feel confident that I’ll be able to handle it. If anything it will allow me to learn more about the animated movie production process as a whole. I think that I’ll be studying the Big Buck Bunny and Elephant’s Dream DVDs in detail!
The first step in creating an animated short is coming up with ideas! I actually did some searching and found a book on the subject, titled Ideas for the Animated Short. This is available on Amazon with an accompanying DVD and also as a free ebook (which I discovered displays nicely on my ereader as well!). I’ve only just begun reading it, but so far it is an excellent description of the process of coming up with and writing an animated short.
I’ll keep everyone updated with the process and hopefully have a few concepts floating around soon!
Heyy, Found your blog on Bing and I will definatley be recommending and coming back to the site! =)
