My Bone character is based on Jeff Smith’s excellent Bone comics. This was one of the first characters that I made using Blender. Looking back on it after a few years there are a lot of things that I would do differently, but it was a great learning process. You can see a couple of work in progress images above, along with a few fun poses. The rig isn’t too great, but he’s great fun to put into silly poses!
I also made a few videos of Bone when I created him. There is a simple walk cycle, and descriptions of the eyebrows, and eye blink controls as well. For some work in progress posts take a look at the bone category of my blog.
Please let me know what you think of Bone or if you wish to take a look at him a bit further.
